Tone Deaf Challenge

The game is made and the song swapper chip is ready, but it’ll have to wait a week.  Due to the weather, the North Park Clubhouse has decided to CANCEL the TONE DEAF CHALLENGE this week.

We’ll return on February 4th with a new game. 

Those with the ‘Song Swapper’ chip will get it for that week.  I’m not sure which game I’m going to use.  If I go with this week’s game, the lightning round will stay the same.  If I go with the other game that I have made, it’ll be body parts.

Also, the rule change will take effect on February 11th, as I won’t be there on February 4th!

Remember, when I’m not there, all teams in attendance get 5 points for being there.  There are no bonus points for winning the game.

As far as I know, the game is still on.  Check back before you leave to make sure.  If I know of any changes, I’ll let you know right at the top of the page!

We are just days away from the Super Bowl, so I felt it would be appropriate if tonight’s theme for the Lightning Round is…

Nick from Puppy Humpers / Lotion in the Basket brought up a good point last Wednesday and after thinking it through for about a week, I think we’re going to try it.

For this week (and maybe other weeks beyond this week, we’ll see), we’ll be trying a new scoring system.  The points will remain the same if your team is up.  However, if you have a chance to steal, the points will be slashed.

Team That’s Up:  Title (10 pts), Artist (10 pts), Both (25 pts)

Teams That Are Stealing:  Title (5 pts), Artist (5 pts), Both (15 pts)

Like I said, we’ll try it this week.  We’ll see how it goes.  I’ll make a final decision in a couple of weeks.

Let’s give away the Song Swapper for the week.  Again, the chip will be given to 4 different teams in each of the 4 different rounds.

Here’s how it works:

1) Play the Impossible Song below.  It’s backwards and a really screwy.  Once you figure it out, move on to the next step.

2) At the top of the page, click on the !ENTER PASSWORDS! tab and type your password in there.  Your password is the title of the song in lowercase letters with no spaces.  For example, if the song were ‘Gives You Hell’ by the All-American Rejects, you’d type givesyouhell.  It couldn’t be simpler.  This week’s song will contain a total of 5 letters.

3) Once you’re in, follow the directions.

No excuses tonight, gang.

The weather is fine (although it is kinda cold).  The roads are clear.  The game is ON!

Tonight’s lightning round category is:  Punk Covers

We’ve done this before, but it’s always fun.  There are 5 good ones that I’ve never used before.

Also, the 80s is still up for grabs for the song swapper chip for tonight.  You can still get in if you haven’t yet.

Also, make sure you RSVP for tonight.  I feel like I’m missing some teams.

I’m not quite sure what the theme of the week is going to be.  I’ll let you know when I know so that you can do your homework…. err…. cough…err. slamhole… cough…

Anyway, here’s the post to leave a comment for your 10 points for the week!  After two bad weather weeks, I want a big turnout!

I just wanted to say thanks to all the teams who came out to support the Tone Deaf Challenge tonight.  It was a very special game!
