We’re also going to introduce a new space onto the Radio Roulette board.  It’s called ‘Let It Ride.’  It’ll work like this.  If you land on the space, you get to pick the decade.  If you get your title and artist right, you’ll get 25 points.  You can keep it or ‘let it ride’ and go for another song.  The next song will be from a decade picked by the team ahead of you (team on deck).  If you ‘let it ride,’ you’ll play for 35 points.  You can do that one more time with a song from the decade picked by the team ahead of them (team in the hole).  Get all 3 songs (title and artist) and you get 45 points.  If you choose to let it ride and you miss title or artist, you get no points.

We’ll try it and see how it goes.  If we like it, great.  If not, we can tweak it.  This idea comes from Jeremy.  Thanks, Jer!

Last bit of news is that the bridge IS NOT CLOSED as we mentioned it would be.  They postponed the construction to next week.  No need to detour this week.

Well, it looks like we’re going to be pushed back about an hour and a half due to the Pens game on Wednesday night.  If you’re there by the start of the second period, I’ll give you 10 points.

I have a feeling tables may be scarce, so you may want to be there sooner.

It’s the first day of Pens playoffs and we’re starting after the final seconds tick off of their clock.  RSVP with your team name and make sure someone on your team wears some Pens gear and get 5 points.  Please make sure you’re there by the start of the 3rd period.

If someone from your team is there for the entire game, I’ll up the ante and give you 15 points.

This is new… We’re going to be doing one word titles and artists for the Lightning Round category this week.  So, I’ve scrambled up a title and artist (and added 3 extra letters).  Your job is to figure it out.

Put the artist before the title in all caps on the Enter Passwords page. — FIXED — Artist first, then title, no spaces, all caps. My bad!

Last bit of news… the Pens are on Wednesday night.  That means we’ll be delayed.  We had teams struggling to find tables last year during the playoffs.  I’m not sure if that’ll be the case this year or not (probably not).  I just wanted to give you the heads-up.

I’m going to keep tonight’s category a secret until we get there so that people aren’t researching anything.  It’s gonna be pretty easy, though.

Also, I’m bringing back the Lyrics Pyramid since it had a good response last week.

Remember, there’s no Penguins game so we’ll start at our normal time.

Lightning Round Image for Tonight

This week, we’re trying something different for the lightning rounds.  There’s no category, per se.  We’re going to play the lightning rounds on the TV screen.

I’m going to show you a morphed or distorted album cover (not anal bumcover) and your job is to guess the artist for 10 points.  If nobody gets it, I’ll slowly un-distort it until somebody gets it right.  If you’re right, you’ll get the chance to name 3 songs from that album.  For each song you name, you’ll get an extra 5 points.  So, just like normal, there are 25 points up for grabs for these.

Once somebody names the artist, the steal opportunity is over.

Take a look to the left for a peek at just one of the albums from tonight’s game.

By the way, we’ll start after the Penguins game!
